The Beginning of Project 4

For project 4 our group is focusing on Stansbury Hall. The building is really old the actual structure of the building is not fantastic. The English department is moving across the street from the library in a newely renovated building. There are still other departments in Stansbury and at this point in time I don't not know where they are going. Our problem is this: What to do with Stansbury Hall. Should we tear it down and build a building, including across a parking lot or should we "fix" Stansbury and just renovate it. I don't know anything about construction so I honestly have no idea which would be better as far as costs go. I do know that nobody likes having classes in Stansbury nor do teachers like having their offices here. I actually love it here, it has history and that is what makes a college campus great.

Done!

YAY!!! I'm finally done with my project. I'm really happy with it and pleased with the work I produced. Going from not knowing how to do HTML and teaching myself all those crazy codes from scratch.

Almost done!

Okay so I think I almost done!!! YAY!! I am going to stop playing around with it because it looks good the way it is and i'm just messing it up now. I added a background to my table and I really like it. It was too boring before, needed to spice it up. That was a little tricky finding the right code so that I could place my table on top of my image and then I had to add it to every page. But it's done so I guess that's all that matter. I haven't done my FAQ page yet and I may add some more text to some of my pages, but the design process is done! At least I hope I don't change my mind....

Getting annoyed

okay so I didn't realize how much time it took to make a website. I think it's taking me awhile because I'm really picky and still learning all the new "tricks." I'm starting to get annoyed because everytime I move something I have to change something else, and then I have to do it on all of my websites. Just a tad annoying. I've become a perfectionists and because I've put so much time into this project I want it to be perfect. Hopefully I don't loose my patience and it comes out good.

Background

I have been trying to find a background for my homepage that I liked and it has taken some time but I finally found one!! I just got back from Jamaica and I have a great picture of the beach the works PERFECT!!! I added it to my homepage and it looks great. Then I had to find new colors for my text so that took a little while, playing around with different ones and all. I'm almost completely satisfied with that page, one page at a time I guess. I used the style sheet that MR. Baldwin gave us for that page and a zengarden style sheet for my revision project, because they're are too seperate things and all. It's kind of weird to think about what my project and site looked like before because I feel that I have come along way, almost done!!

Rotating Images

Okay, I am so proud of myself and how far I have come in my project!!! I never thought I would be able to do it and it's coming together really well. So far the thing I am most proud of is on one of my pages I added rotating images! I thought it would be a good idea but I didn't think I would actually figure out it, let alone have it actually work!! It looks so cool and brings a little something extra to my project.

FAQ

I will be creating an FAQ page and the three criteria are: What to expect, Purpose/history, and Contact. I will be informing my audience that I have taken my original project and revised it. I just added four rotating pictures on it and three of them are in my re-vision project so it gives people an idea of what they may see visually. I really think that my project represents myself. It talks about the people who are in my life, certain places, and I think the quality of the reflects what a hard working student I am.
